SYMPHONIE AVEC ORGUE DE SAINT-SAENS / SAINT-SAENS SYMPHONY Nº 3 L'enregistrement de la symphonie avec orgue de Saint-Saëns avec le Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Paul Paray et Marcel Dupré en 1957 est une référence parmi toutes les interprétations de cette symphonie puisque Marcel Dupré connaissait très bien Camille Saint-Saëns et l'avait assisté à de nombreuses reprises dans cette symphonie. Decca vient de rééditer dans la série Mercury Living Presence, sous forme de disque vinyle, l'enregistrement de cette symphonie avec orgue. Cette réédition correspond à une amélioration significative de l'enregistrement original tenant compte des nouveaux moyens techniques dont nous disposons aujourd'hui (les laques de cette nouvelle réédition 2022 ont été coupées à mi-vitesse par les studios Abbey Road ce qui permet de graver plus de détails dans le vinyle, en particulier aux fréquences extrêmes, presse de 180 mg au lieu de 140 mg, etc.). Cette version en disque vinyle permet une restitution extrêmement fidèle de l'exécution de cette symphonie, améliorant encore la qualité d'enregistrement par rapport à la version de 2015 parue sous forme de disque compact avec le soutien de l'A.A.A.M.D. Les détails de ces améliorations sont présentés par Tom Fine sur le disque.
